**ABOUT US**:
At New School Foods, our mission is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable food system. Using our proprietary and purpose-built production technologies, we are creating the next generation of meat and seafood alternatives, which are designed to appeal to the average consumer. Our first product is a delicious plant-based filet that looks, cooks, tastes and flakes like Salmon, that’s full of Omega 3’ and protein. All with a lower carbon footprint, zero mecury, and made without harming the ocean.
This role will be require 30-40 hours a week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Ensure effective and proper cleaning of equipment, utensils, workspaces, floors etc.
- Collaborate with Production team to identity cleaning priorities.
- Follow food defense and safety programs programs including GMPS and HACCP plan requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Support food safety and quality initiatives, following guidelines and protocols to ensure product integrity.
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- 1-year experience in production floor santiation
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies used in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) is a bonus.
- Ability to lift and move some small equipment weighing up to 40 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.
