Strathmore’s water truck drivers drive a large truck with a mechanized arm. Our water truck drivers spend their days driving around, watering trees, gardens and large flower boxes for Strathmore clients. The work schedule is Monday to Friday.
**Responsibilities**:
Operate a water truck- Inspect vehicle before and after each shift- Load the truck with water using hoses- Operate mechanical arm and drive at the same time- Able to move around pumps and hoses- Drive on public roads while moving the water truck between sites- Ensures the safety of themselves as well as those around them- Communicate with the supervisor to declare issues- Other related tasks and duties
For a perfect matchHigh school diploma- Class 3 driver license with air brake endorsement- One year of truck driving experience- A driver license with a good driver record- Able to use and maintain all equipment safely and responsibly- Give and execute verbal instructions, read labels and signs, and complete daily reports for the office and clients- Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as a team- Knowledge of computers or smart phones- Speak French and/or English
