Quality Assurance Auditor, Airport Operations

Reporting to the Supervisor, Standards and Quality Assurance, this position is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Airport Quality Assurance and Airport Process Improvement plans. This will involve evaluating, planning and executing quality assurance audits on airports processes and procedures; working with multiple departments to evaluate and implement improvements in airports business processes to improve efficiency and reduce cost; and working with multiple departments to track and execute safety investigations and completion of corrective action assigned to Airport Operations. In addition, this role will compile and analyze airport safety and operational data for reporting purposes and trend analysis.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety PolicyUnderstand, demonstrate and role model Porter’s values to promote a world class learning environmentConduct internal audits encompassing all functions and elements necessary to confirm that Airport Operations is in compliance with regulations and approved manualsConduct external vendor audits i.e. De-Icing and Fueling operationsAssist in maintaining detailed audit checklists for all functions and elements under the approved manuals and quality assurance planConduct activities associated with audit preparation and planning, audit performance, audit reporting, follow-up and closureInvestigate, analyze and recommend solutions to resolve identified process gapsAssist in the development, deployment and implementation of processes that drive operational excellence across business unitsPerform periodic checks to assess the requirement for supplemental training, coaching, enforcement, or procedural changes-
Liaise with departmental managers to identify and implement the necessary corrective action to safety issues reported to the Safety Management SystemTrack, coordinate, and report on the timelines and progress of investigations and corrective action as they relate to Airport OperationsProvides guidance and updates to the Safety Department regarding the progress and completion of investigations, analyses, implementation of corrective action, and audit processesProvide updates to Airport Leadership on the status of the Airports safety responseConduct trend analysis and develop reports on Airport safety and operational performanceAssist in developing Operations Bulletins for procedural changes as requiredSupport Operational Excellence Dept. activities as requiredOther duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Certified Auditors are preferredMinimum of 2 years in Airport Operations or equivalent experienceImpartiality, integrity, tenacity, diplomacy are key attributesDemonstrated knowledge and/or experience in quality management principles, quality assurance, and/or auditing techniquesKnowledge of Transport Canada and Canadian Transportation Agency requirements is an assetStrong knowledge of safety management system requirementsKnowledge and demonstrated experience of investigation and root cause analysis toolsSuperior written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsBackground in report creation and distribution is requiredProficient in the Google suite of software tools (eg. Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.)Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks at the same timeHighly motivated and self-directed with a keen attention to detailAbility to adapt quickly to new situations, problem solve and affect positive change in a fast paced, dynamic environmentFlexibility and availability to work varied hours including weekends as requiredAble to travel on short notice for up to one weekAble to hold and maintain a valid Passport (required for travel)Able to hold and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identification CardExcellent attendance recordMandatory COVID-19 Vaccination
