**Overview**
**Duties**
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper handling of cargo.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with company policies.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS or maps, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary for loading or unloading freight.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed, including checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or issues that may arise.
**Experience**
- Proven experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred.
- Familiarity with forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is advantageous for vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Experience operating heavy machinery or industrial equipment can be beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory depending on the vehicle type.
- Prior experience in logistics, warehouse operations, or related fields is desirable but not essential. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of goods from our facilities to our clients, emphasizing safety, efficiency, and excellent service at every step.
Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
