As the first point of contact for customers and a source of knowledge for many our budtenders are responsible for providing customers with product knowledge and customer support to help guide customers to the appropriate products while maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Supervisor and Management team with the activities and operations of the store while ensuring regulatory and compliance guidelines are upheld.
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- A strong understanding of the legal cannabis market, strains, products, and related cannabis accessories with a willingness to continue increasing your knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment but also able to work by yourself, properly managing time and tasks
- Guide and direct customers in their cannabis purchasing journey
- Ensure regulatory compliance in all transactions
- Ask customers for ID when appearance requires it
- Knowedge of POS systems
- Building a loyal customer base
- Unpack, sort, count, label, and display merchandise as directed
- Taking inventory and assisting in inventory related tasks as directed
- Cash handling and other duties as directed
Job Requirements:
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must have a valid Selling It Right Certificate
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Willing to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Excellent listening skills and engagement with the customer to better understand their needs and best direct them to appropriate products
- Strong work ethic demonstrating critical thinking, problem solving and logic
- Knowledge of glassware, accessories, and hydroponics is an asset
- Prior retail experience is an asset
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 15 - 20 per week
**Salary**: $18.50 per hour
