**Advanced Manufacturing Specialist**

**Overview**: Responsible for leading and assisting with implementation and sustainment of Industry 4.0 initiatives. This includes machine data collection (set up, implementation, data analysis, and ensuring all teams have the necessary data), PTPM (creating standards and work instructions, providing training to other ME’s, audits for new PTPM implementations), Advancing 3D printing (working with programming and design teams to ensure additive manufacturing is optimized, evaluating equipment for future additive manufacturing opportunities), FMEA facilitation (developing templates, training other ME’s, facilitating FMEA sessions as required), Assist with automation projects as required (assist with design if necessary, advise on industry 4.0 connectivity).

A large portion of this role will be working on implementation of projects, and analyzing data to suggest future projects and initiatives. The other portion of this role will be focused on sustaining and training to ensure that documentation is kept up to date and accurate, and to align the ME team on all new initiatives.
- Lead and sustain implementation of industry 4.0 initiatives, including data collection, Total Productive Maintenance, additive manufacturing.
- Facilitate and teach FMEA sessions for new equipment purchases.
- Assist with implementation and design of automation projects as required.
- Advise and teach others about industry 4.0 and connectivity with new and existing machinery.
- Analyze data to determine future projects and initiatives.
- Ensure implemented initiatives are sustained and maintained for future success.
- Train other engineers to lead implementation of industry 4.0 initiatives.

- 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing an asset.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Experience with automation equipment and PLC’s.
- Experience with Vorne or other data tracking and machine monitoring systems considered an asset.
- Familiarity with reading manufacturing drawings and blueprints.
- Demonstration of computer-based skills: AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft and in-house software.
- Power BI considered an asset.
- Previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or HVAC industry considered an asset.
- Design experience considered an asset.
