The Buyer’s main responsibility is purchasing inventory and special-order items for customers. This includes diligent tracking of orders, creating and sending purchase orders to suppliers and ensuring all items are received and invoiced correctly. Strong industry experience is an asset for this position as you will be required to implement product knowledge and provide support to customers to guarantee they receive the best products for their intended use. This position works closely with the yard coordinator and the accounting team for continuity and accuracy.

**Main Duties and Tasks**:
Daily work of the buyer/inventory coordinator will entail a variety of tasks, but will mostly focus on:

- Purchase materials, supplies, and services that align with sales requirements.
- Reconcile inventory and invoices for the purpose of identifying discrepancies
- Monitor existing orders to ensure timely deliveries and accurate distribution
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years experience in purchasing/planning in the construction or lumber industry.
- Must have excellent communication skills, professional phone etiquette, and general knowledge of accounting principals.
- Must have strong analytical skills and advanced math skills.
- Must be strategic/analytical thinker.
- Must be advanced user with Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word).
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
- Pride in work, humble in attitude.
- Independent worker.
- Valid SK Drivers license.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 45 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.

**Salary**: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
