Crafty Ramen is looking for an Assistant Manager to join our team in Guelph
- The accountabilities for this role will be:_
- **Supporting the General Manager in the running the day-to-day operation of the restaurant**:

- Ordering and receiving products with accuracy
- Review of weekly staffing schedules and covering for absent employees
- Uphold Crafty Ramen's standards of service, cleanliness, organization and food quality with a fanatical attention to detail
- Maintaining morale and customer relations
- Receiving invoices into Marketmen
- Helping with monthly inventory
- Maintaining and creating a dine-in atmosphere is being hospitable
- Organizing the store and maintaining cleanliness to company standard
- Work a POS terminal and serve food & alcohol to our guests
- Basic cash handling & some banking
- **Supporting staffing**:

- Hiring
- Training
- Disciplining; and
- Dismissing staff
- **Managing safety**:

- Ensuring that food safety standards are upheld; and
- Ensuring that health and safety standards are upheld including WSIB compliance
- **Supporting training, support and feedback with the team**:

- Following all onboarding and training standards
- Doing 90-day check-ins
- Doing 1-year check-ins
- Doing Observation checklists
- Manager meeting follow ups and scheduling
- A warm, welcoming, hospitable personality & a strong sense of integrity
- Detail-oriented, pro-active, team-player
- No ego, strong willingness to learn & grow
- Must have both FOH and BOH experience working both on the line and serving customers in a full-service environment
- Food Handler's certificate, First Aid & Smart Serve certifications
- Previous management & supervisory experience
- Experience counting inventory, placing product orders & controlling par levels
- Previous experience with Japanese cuisine is an asset but not a requirement
- Culinary/Hospitality Management diploma/degree or Red Seal certification is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
