**FULL TIME - 37.5hrs/week - Day Shift (8:30am - 4:00pm)**

Acclaim Health announces the availability of one (1) **Established Part Time Registered Practical Nurs**e position to work in the **Burlington Community**. As an established part time employee, the individual will be required to work forty five (45) hours in a bi-weekly period and 1:3 weekends, as well as statutory holiday rotations.

**PRIMARY FUNCTIONS**:

- Provide nursing care within the Community and Clinics.
- Organizes the day, set priorities based on continuity of care, the type of care to be given and the client’s/family’s health needs.
- Develops, implements, evaluates, and modifies the plan of care outlining the strategies, orders and actions to achieve expected/desired outcomes.
- Assesses the health status of the client.
- Administers IV therapy including central line and peripheral line maintenance.
- Administers medications topically through natural body orifices, through tubes and by injections.
- Handles wound care, acute and chronic, for certain types and stages of wounds.
- Responsible for ensuring that the lap top is synchronized with the network at a minimum of twice a day, at the beginning and end of your shift, in order to receive information on and update client records.
- Attends team/POD meetings as required.

**POSITION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 1 to 2 years clinical practice in a community environment preferred
- Current registration with the CNO
- Current CPR certificate
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaching skills
- Palliative Experience is preferred
- Ability to administer medications
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to professional development and skill enhancement
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
