**Job Title: HR/Client Communications Manager**

**Location**: Olds & Sundre, Alberta

**Reports To**: Practice Owners/Practice Manager

**Position Overview**:
We are a locally owned veterinary practice operating in two locations, Olds and Sundre, Alberta. Our rapidly evolving clinic seeks an ambitious, dynamic, and forward-thinking HR/Client Communications Manager to lead our HR and client relations efforts. This role will focus on human resources management, team wellness, and client communications, ensuring smooth HR operations and fostering a positive work and client environment.

The HR/Client Communications Manager will manage recruitment, employee relations, client engagement, and act as the liaison between the two locations to promote unity and transparency within the practice. Additionally, this role will be the primary point of contact for team leads. The position does not currently include benefits administration, payroll, or scheduling, but these responsibilities may be added as the role grows within the practice based on performance.

This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment and is excited to contribute to the development and refinement of policies, procedures, and client service standards.

**Key Responsibilities: Human Resources**:

- **Recruitment & Onboarding**: Lead recruitment efforts, including job posting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff.
- **Policy Development & Improvement**: Regularly evaluate and improve HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and align with the clinic's goals.
- **Employee Relations & Wellness**: Conduct routine team wellness checks, surveys, and lead quarterly to annual performance reviews. Assist in offboarding processes, including exit interviews and follow-up.
- **Performance Management**: Support leadership with performance evaluations, employee coaching, and disciplinary processes.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with Alberta labour laws, health and safety regulations, and clinic policies.

**Client Communications**:

- **Client Relations**: Act as the primary contact for client feedback and complaints, ensuring client concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
- **Client Engagement & Retention**: Develop client engagement strategies to improve communication and enhance the overall client experience.
- **Public Relations**: Oversee the clinic’s public-facing communications, including newsletters, social media posts, and promotional materials.
- **Client Education**: Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure clients are well informed about their pets' care, medical treatments, and the clinic’s services.

**Operations Support**:

- **Liaison Between Locations**: Act as the liaison between the Olds and Sundre locations, promoting unity and transparent communication across the entire practice.
- **Point of Contact for Team Leads**: Serve as the primary point of contact for team leads, ensuring consistent communication and support across departments.
- Collaborate with the inventory team and office managers to ensure streamlined communication across the clinic.
- Work alongside clinic owners and management on practice growth initiatives, ensuring HR strategies align with business development goals.
- Lead internal communication efforts to ensure all staff are aligned with the clinic’s mission, goals, and procedural updates.

**Future Growth Opportunities**:

- Upon successful performance, the HR/Client Communications Manager may be considered for additional responsibilities in **benefits administration, payroll processing, and staff scheduling.** These will be reviewed as the role and practice evolve.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- **Experience**: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in human resources or management roles (veterinary or healthcare experience preferred but not required).
