**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are looking for a highly motivated trades assistant to help with basic manufacturing duties and Deliveries.

- Natural acumen to learn a variety of useful skills on many pieces of equipment
- Mechanically-minded: understands how machines work
- Efficiently-minded: always looking for the most productive and cost-effective way to get the job done
- VERY reliable, dependable, and responsible
- Prompt, punctual, and deadline-oriented (doesn't just show up on time, but gets jobs done on time)
- Focused and task-oriented
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed
- Interested in the Custom Millwork trade
- Quick learner with a desire to learn how to assemble, cut, finish and install really cool stuff.

**EXPERIENCE TO BE GAINED**
- Introduction to the custom manufacturing sector and architectural millwork industry
- Workshop organization
- Maintenance procedures
- CNC watchdog operations
- Product finishing and packing
- Goods shipping / receiving / dispatch
- Joinery Apprentice Sponsorship
- CNC Machine operation
- Band saw operation
- Table Saw operation
- Drill operation
- Brooming procedure
- Shipping and Receiving procedures
- CAD systems
- CAM systems
- Forklift Operation

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid BC Drivers License
- Attitude is everything. Hand skills and technical background is an asset: the unwavering ability to learn, and the drive to continually and quickly improve is a MUST.

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
