Doxa Development is a real estate development and construction company, based in Richmond, BC. We are growing rapidly and are expanding into other industries, such as education. As such, we are looking for an assistant project manager to assist with existing and new projects. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Provide technical engineering information to employees and subcontractors to ensure the project complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions
- Assist in plan and specification analysis in order to provide clear, trackable, and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings for construction
- Assist in the evaluation and solution of potential field problems
- Assist in inspections with City inspectors
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Coordinating tasks by different people on different sites to ensure uniformity upon project completion
- Working within the budget by adequately estimating the costs and cutting unnecessary expenses
- Procuring and allocating resources to ensure there is no shortage while avoiding any unnecessary delays caused by management decisions
- Managing both internal and external risks within the project’s lifetime, such as poor planning designs, and government policies, which directly or indirectly affect the project
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan

**Requirements**:

- Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings
- Experiences with BCBC, VBBL
- Ability to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem-solving
- Fluent in English
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Construction related degree/diploma and three to 3 years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software
- Ability to support the project team and helping to solve construction issues in time-sensitive situations

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year
