**POSITION TITLE**:CONCRETE LINE PUMP OPERATOR
**RATE OF PAY**:$40.73 - $43.73 per hour

**JOB OVERVIEW**

The Pump Operator will be responsible for all items on the line pump truck, and must be in contact with the concrete supplier to establish an estimated arrival time.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Fueling up the Pump, Air Compressor, Truck and Tidy Tank every morning
- Contacting the concrete supplier to determine the status and estimated arrival of concrete
- Coordinating the location of the truck and pump set up with the Hose Tender
- Ensuring the tote is lifted into the site for workers to start hose roll-out
- Setting up all safety supplies for the crew
- Checking the ticket when concrete arrives (before any concrete is placed in the pump), and notifying the crew of any additives (MPA, slump, accelerator, etc.)
- Mixing a pail of hose primer and pouring it into the hose
- Filling the hopper with concrete and getting ready to charge the material lines
- Using the two-way radio, communicate with the Hose Tender and advise to start charging the lines
- Ensuring proper concrete truck spacing and delivery timing
- Blowing out the lines at the end of the shoot using the Safe Work Procedure for Blow Out of Shotcrete Lines
- Cleaning the pump hopper and cylinders, and the pump itself
- Strapping down all loose items, including the tote
- Doing a circle check to ensure that no items were left on the pump
- Driving the pump back to the shop at the end of the day
- Pressure-washing the pump once it is back at the Shop
- Other duties as assigned

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum DZ license
- Clean 3-year Driver’s Abstract
- Must be available to work long hours
- Experience working in construction
- Able to lift, carry, or shovel objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather
- Safety awareness and knowledge of risks
- Active listening and respectful attitude
- Strong work ethic, reliable and punctual
- Able to follow instructions
- Able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, and reach
