Jardeg is currently recruiting for a **Carpenter Foreperson** to join the Buildings team in the city of** Calgary**
The schedule for this position is Monday to Friday.**The shift may include extended hours and weekends, as required by the site.
Are you a skilled Carpenter with a passion for leadership and craftsmanship? We’re looking for a Carpenter Foreperson to bring their expertise to our dynamic Buildings team in Calgary. This is your chance to step into a role where your talent meets opportunity.
**In the role you will**:
- Supervise and mentor a team of carpenters on-site- Ensure top-quality workmanship and safety standards- Work closely with site leadership and trades to maintain project flow and efficiency.- Leading construction on projects and ensuring that construction goals are achieved and meet or exceed client expectations
- Producing work that results in an exceptional client experience
- Ensuring projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes while maintaining high quality standards
- Working with the project team to meet milestones and completion dates according to the established project schedule
- Providing clear direction to those team members you’re leading, to ensure project targets are achieved
- Attending and providing input at project meetings and ensuring that information is transmitted to those on your team
- Assessing the target production goal, then establishing a team workflow while executing the plan to achieve it
- Supporting staff through coaching and team huddles
- Efficiently and safely using the relevant tools and equipment needed to produce the various assemblies for the project
- Supporting and maintaining healthy, happy work environments and corporate culture
- Maintaining clean, organized, and professional presentation of work sites
**Requirements**:
- You are a skilled Carpenter that has experience managing construction teams
- Hold a valid Journeyperson ticket
- CSTS 2020 & WHMIS 2015
- Fall Protection
- You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory/leadership role- Buildings/commercial experience an asset
- You have an understanding of construction phases and workflow
- Experience in multiple phases of construction, from foundation work to finishing
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
