**Part-Time Shop Assistant Position (8-15 Hours per week)**

Salts and West clothing is seeking a Shipping and Office Assistant We are a small local online clothing business that produces and sells ethical non-toxic clothing made from natural fibers. We make Linen clothing, Bamboo clothing and other natural fiber clothing.

This is a detail oriented position with many opportunities for growth and learning. Need to be able to lift boxes about 20 lbs max.

Duties include:

- shipping orders
- posting behind the scenes and new product to social media (you will be trained in this)
- answering social media messages and comments
- inventory restocking
- updating inventory on the website
- light cleaning (emptying garbage, folding and sweeping)
- basic filing, scanning and sorting of paperwork

Skills required:

- good computer skills, able to work with computers easily
- excellent English writing skills, other languages would be a great bonus but not needed
- basic understanding how to use social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram etc.
- motivated to learn and grow
- organized and able to keep deadlines
- friendly and upbeat attitude, able to talk to customers and clients
- proven track record of being consistently reliable
- able to lift boxes and move inventory
