Maintain & increase sales by providing superior service to customers in person and over the telephone. Providing a shopping experience that will encourage customers to return by demonstrating product knowledge and professionalism.

**Responsibilities**:
Ø Acknowledge and greet customers with a smile when both entering and leaving the store.

Ø Ring through product accurately to keep inventory correct.

Ø Process payments on accounts.

Ø Answer customers’ questions, and provide information on procedures or policies such as; returns, final sales, promotions, etc.

Ø Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.

Ø Maintain awareness of promotions.

Ø Check stock of sales flyer items on the computer and prepare flyer cards.

Ø Accurately count money in cash drawer at the beginning and end of shift to ensure amounts are correct.

Ø Ensure there is adequate change throughout the day.

Ø Use all Prism functions available to ensure your cash drawer balances throughout and at the end of the day. eg.x-reads, batch totals, cash drawer counts, cash drawer pick up, etc. correcting any discrepancies resulting from your findings.

Ø Follow the step-by-step process of shutting down each day ensuring you balance.

Ø Understand and be able to use the different functions of the Prism System, such as; layaways, suspends, orders, etc.

Ø Clean bathrooms, kitchen and other common areas.

Ø Increase sales by developing product knowledge and selling skills.

Ø Maintain a high level of customer service by providing exceptional service.

Ø Actively promote the products & services of Bridgetown Home Hardware.

Ø Update your product knowledge and take ownership of training opportunities.

Ø Work as a team & help promote good store morale.

Qualifications:
Ø Strong interpersonal, organizational, customer service and time management skills.

Ø Technical and problem-solving skills.

Ø Retail sales experience is an asset.

Ø Ability to work flexible schedule including Saturdays.

Ø Willingness to learn and develop professional skills.
