In Room Dining Server

We currently have an opening for part time In Room Dining Server. The In Room Dining Server offers a high level of service by taking guests orders, requests and delivering orders while upholding the Delta and Brand service standards. The In Room Dining Server will also work closely with the Restaurant and Lounge, Banquets and Club Lounge, and Guest Services teams, assisting when necessary. They will maintain an organized space, conduct room deliveries as requested, and ensure all guest communications are completed with the Brand Standard timelines.

***DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Welcome guests with promptness and courtesy.
- Adheres to all guest communication, delivery and call back standards
- High attention to detail when taking orders, repeating back the order to ensure accuracy and obtain guest confirmation
- Promotes house drinks and food items; utilizes upselling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues.
- Ensures a thorough knowledge of all food menu items, ingredients and preparation methods, including any daily features.
- Provides positive guest interactions and assists with all guests requests.
- Checks identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable; follows provincial and local laws regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Completes regular floor sweeps to ensure all empty trays, dishes and glassware and discarded items are cleared.
- Prepares end of shift reports and cash outs; documents cash transactions and deposits as per audit procedures
- Complies with all cash handling and cash out policies and procedures
- Preparation for the next shift’s work on a daily basis.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanour.
- Follows the Delta Regina’s service culture with regards to Key Standards, Core Values and Guest Expectations.
- Assists in restaurant and lounge when needed
- Be prompt when reporting for a scheduled shift.

**Note: Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management**:
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:
**Education/ Experience**: Basic reading, writing and math and one year of food service experience.

**Certification and/or License Requirement**:Food handling certificate - Serve it Right as required by Provincial law.

**Skills**:Interpersonal communications. Ability to communicate effectively, and professionally with all guests. Attention to detail.

**Working Conditions**:Will be required to work early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays. Will be required to work in fast paced, stressful environment. May be asked to work overtime. Must be available early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
