The Edmonton 2 Spirit Society (E2S) has a history of bringing together the 2 Spirit community in the greater Edmonton area to strategize around our needs. The Edmonton 2 Spirit Society (E2S) was provincially incorporated in 2018 and federally incorporated in 2021. All employees are responsible for supporting, upholding and representing the vision, mission and mandate of the E2S during their duties and in all their community engagement and stakeholder relations. **Position Summary**
The 2S GBV Housing Project Manager will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with a team of educators, advocates, community helpers, and project coordinators in line with our funding agreements. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, in collaboration with the Board of Directors, the 2S GBV Housing Project Manager will assist in the development of the proposed E2S Housing Project and Cultural Space. Duties will include coordinating resources, managing consultations, and delivering project outcomes according to work plan timelines, reporting on financial and project deliverables, evaluating project outcomes, as well as advocating for 2Spirit Community in the housing development realm. They will also work closely with the executive director and board executive in attending various 2SLGBTQIA+ community network meetings and collaborations with the community and the broader public. The job requires specialist skills in project management and reporting, community-based consultation, and Indigenous ways of knowing and being in the context of 2SLGBTQIA+ lived experiences with housing. This role will require flexibility to travel to conduct society business, including supporting the Board in executing projects and grants, as well as attending conferences, gatherings, and ceremonial responsibilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills in Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ leadership, community building and advancing the reclamation of 2S peoples' place in society.
**Duties**
- Provide project management and project deliverables using the agreed upon project management systems to ensure successful delivery of the 2S GBV Housing Project, Cultural Space, and potential future projects.
- Reporting directly to the Executive Director, co-design, develop, create, deliver, maintain, evaluate, and project manage 2S GBV Housing Project and Cultural Space in a way that is transparent and accessible to community members on an ongoing basis.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director and 2S GBV Housing Committee - complete and submit future proposals to funding bodies according to the required timelines.
- Attend various 2SLGBTQIA+ community network meetings and collaborations with the 2S community, community organizations, governments, and the broader public related to the 2S GBV Housing Project.
- Collaborate with partner organizations to ensure grant deliverables align with project funding requirements (i.e. safety, permitting, etc.)
- Understanding and adhering to ethical guidelines, project protocols, and research procedures.
- Review and evaluate programs for success, including re-designing or co-designing project plans as required and in response to evaluative feedback.
- Develop and maintain, in collaboration with the Executive leadership and Board of Directors, an ongoing, effective, and achievable work plan that is evaluated and updated regularly.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation, record keeping and communication with the Executive leadership and Board of Directors as required.
- Other related duties as required and negotiated with the Executive Director to enhance E2S services.
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Business, Architecture, Project Management, Urban Planning) or Project Management Professional Certification.
- Experience with and in Indigenous community governance and operations (preference to Treaty 6, 7, or 8 signatory Nations or the Métis Nation)
- 2 years experience in project management, working specifically in construction or community engagement or both.
- Computer literacy and familiarity with standard software, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite products
