**About Us**: BIK BOOM TRUCKS LLC in Toronto, ON near 427 and Finch area, is a service and repair facility that specializes in repair and maintenance of truck mounted loading/unloading equipment such as, articulating knuckle cranes, stick booms, truck mounted forklifts and sign trucks.

**DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES**: BIK Boom trucks is looking for responsible yet qualified applicants who will be required to operate a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW, to transport and deliver vehicles and goods. Applicant will be shuttling trucks locally and on long distance throughout Canada and USA. Drivers may be required to use automated routing equipment. Truck Drivers require commercial drivers' license. Drivers will have some local small vehicle driving and deliveries.

- **VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR CROSS BORDER TRAVEL**:

- **NO OVER TIME - IF OVERTIME IS REQUIRED FOR A DELIVERY, THESE HOURS WILL BE LOGGED AS VACATION HOURS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR DISPOSAL**:

- **CROSS BORDER DELIVERIES WILL APPROXIMATELY RUN 60-70% OF THE MONTH, AND REMAINDER OF DELIVERIES ARE WITHIN GTA**:

- **IF NO CROSS BORDER DELIVERIES ARE AVAILABLE, YOUR TIME WILL BE SPENT AT THE OFFICE AND IN THE SHOP DURING REGULAR OFFICE HOURS 8-5pm WORKING WITH THE TRUCKS IN THE SHOP, ALONG WITH DOING LOCAL DELIVERIES**

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- **MUST BE ABLE TO TRAVEL IN TO THE USA**:

- Punctual, reliable, self-motivated
- Clean Abstract
- Class D drivers license
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Passport Required, as well as for travel
- Air break endorsement (Z)
- Mechanically and professionally inclined
- Ability to comprehend and follow directions
- Experience with border crossing
- Driving test part of interview
- Ability to lift 70 pounds
- Weekend and overtime work as needed
- Work indoors/outdoors
- Must be self directed and work with little to no supervision
- Ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Perform trip inspections on equipment operated and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of goods, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, customs and immigration and weights and dimensions
- Check vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Record and maintain required documentation including driver logbook, bills of lading, etc. by manual or electronic means
- Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure
- Deliver to product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
- Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
