Acara solutions is looking for Lab Technician for our client located in Brampton,ON
- Reporting to the Quality Process Analyst, the Lab Technician is responsible for maintaining pre-established specifications of the e-coating process.
- This responsibility is achieved through the collection of samples, performance of testing and making chemical additions, and monitoring finished product.
- Adhere to all Client policies, procedures, notices and instructions
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in your work area
- Work independently under mínimal supervision
- Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner and immediately report any deficiencies
- Handle all chemicals, tools, and equipment safely
- Collect needed samples for analysis in adherence to testing schedule
- Perform analysis of samples using appropriate test procedures
- Records all test results and communicates any deficiencies or outliers
- Make the necessary adjustments to maintain operating specifications in the e-coating process through chemical additions or the operation of equipment
- Maintain the appropriate inventory of needed lab supplies
- Provide training to new or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, and quality minded manner
- Monitor the wastewater treatment system and report items of concern
- Test and document quality of finished products
- Perform maintenance activities on certain pieces of equipment within the e-coating process
- Perform needed tank maintenance (disposal, cleaning, and refilling/recharging)
- Assist other departments as needed
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Act and its regulations
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that the worker's employer needs to be used or worn

Required Skills / Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

- Manual dexterity
- Mechanically inclined
- Chemical background
- Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and tools needed in the performance of work

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.50-$19.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- manufacturing environment: 1 year (required)
