The **Shop Labourer **will perform a variety of material handling duties to assist with production and

shipping/receiving requirements. Completing these duties with a focus on safety and quality are critical in this position.
**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Assist rebar benderman and shear operators.
- Support Equipment Operators to produce rebar pieces that are accurate to the Bar Lists provided.
- Clear sheared materials from storage racks, supply stock length rebar for cutting operations, receive and position steel bundles on stock shear racks.
- Help load trailers with completed reinforcing steel materials.
- Scan stock and outbound reinforcing steel.
- Ensure all employees and visitors adhere to safe work procedures for the equipment being operated.
- Help with shop housekeeping in order to perform work safely and efficiently.
- Help ensure work is completed as scheduled.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

- Experience working with rebar is considered an asset.
- Position will require exposure to heat, cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration and industrial manufacturing noise.
- Forklift and gantry crane experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds, and to stand 8 - 10 hours.
- Must be available to work full-time (Monday - Friday)

**Compensation and Benefits**
A&H Steel Vancouver provides competitive wages starting at $23/hour, depending on experience and the role you are being selected for. Eligible employees are also provided with extended medical and dental benefits, Long-Term Disability, 3 paid Flex days off in addition to annual vacation allotment, and RRSP matching.

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
