**Role Summary**
Reporting to the Superintendent and Foreman, the Grader Operator will be responsible for safely operating a grader. Based out of our construction sites in Charlottetown and surrounding area, this role will perform a variety of work including daily paperwork and maintenance, stripping, grading, and fine grading various materials.

**What You’ll Do**
- Effectively operate grader.
- Communicate regularly with Foreman, Superintendent, and customers to receive job specifications.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher and other staff to plan and coordinate work efficiently.
- Clean and lubricate equipment, monitor equipment fluid levels.
- Conduct daily pre-operational checks on all equipment to ensure proper working condition.
- Secure special attachments and perform minor adjustments and repairs on equipment.
- Ensure deficiencies are noted and reported to the shop foreman.
- Organize and maintain an obstructive free work area while safely operating all equipment.
- Maintain regular visual concentration while using all equipment and tools.
- Adhere and support all safety requirements and quality standards set forth in the PEI Occupational Health and Safety General Regulations, PEI Occupational Health and Safety Act and Island Coastal’s Safety Management System.
- Use your experience to identify health and safety deficiencies and support Management in implementing solutions OR report to Management when required.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

**What You Bring**
- 5+ years experience in grader operation considered an asset.
- Class 1 or 3 license considered an asset but not required.
- Ability to use a GPS system.
- Reliable, dependable and works effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to operate for extended periods of time in various conditions.
- Comfortable completing basic labourer tasks (e.g., raking, shoveling, etc.).
- Overtime will be required during peak business levels.
- Valid drivers license and own transportation.

**Job Types**: Full-Time, Seasonal

Contract Length: 4 months

Pay: $21.75-$27.20 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 60 per week
