Kennel Attendant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to the dogs staying with us. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and hygiene within the kennel facility, assisting with feeding and exercise routines, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

Primary Duties:

- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment for animals
- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinary staff
- Provide exercise opportunities for pets in supervised group play/playtimes
- Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns or changes to the management staff
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries, scheduling appointments, and addressing client concerns

**Skills**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Knowledge of animal behavior and basic care practices
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a team environment

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: From $17.20 per hour
