**AutoCAD Draftsperson**

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and prepare shop drawings, and proposal drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
- Develop and prepare design sketches and Create drawings for assigned projects
- Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specification, CAD standards, and design data
- Work with the manufacturing team to ensure that design specifications satisfy manufacturing capabilities.
- Respond quickly to shop floor needs and provide practical and effective technical support to manufacturing issues or challenges
- Promote and foster a team environment with a proactive and positive workplace approach
- Maintain contact/coordination with consultants
- Must be proficient in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings including floor plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, general notes, design criteria, etc.
- Must have excellent attention to detail and be able to produce high quality work as set forth by the company standards
- All other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a Post-Secondary degree or diploma in architecture or civil engineering design preferred
- 1 to 3 years of related experience in the aluminum industry (store-front, curtain-wall and/or window wall)
- Excellent knowledge of Architectural CAD software such as AutoCAD
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills (multi-tasking, time management techniques)
- Strong work ethic
- Able to work independently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
