This position will require regular emergency on-call communications leadership and support.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field. Master's degree and/or professional accreditation is helpful (APR or ABC)
- Minimum five years of progressive communications leadership experience in a large healthcare, public sector or unionized environment
- At least five years of experience developing and implementing measurable and engaging communications strategies for internal and external stakeholders, including strategies that support change processes
- Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and managers on communications matters
- Demonstrated experience managing complex communications issues, leading projects and planning special events
- o Advanced writing and editing skills and a natural talent for translating complex information into clear and compelling communication materials
- Strong project management skills
- Highly detail-oriented
- Effective budget management abilities
- Experience with graphic design and production
- Solid interpersonal and relationship building skills, and the ability to work in a respectful, cooperative team environment
- Effective time management, organization skills; service focused, with the ability to multi-task and meet tight timelines
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Commitment to our organizational values
- Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset.
- Consistent and regular attendance required.
