**Position Description**
- The Fire Extinguisher Inspection Technician is responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and service of portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA 10 standards, and company policies.
- The technician ensures fire protection equipment is fully operational, compliant, and ready to use in case of emergency

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine inspections of portable fire extinguishers at customer sites.
- Verify compliance with NFPA 10
- Tag, label, and document inspection and service activities accurately.
- Identify defective or non-compliant equipment and recommend corrective action.
- Complete inspection reports and submit reports to administration team.
- Provide excellent customer service while on-site, addressing questions and safety concerns.
- Safely operate service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety practices, procedures, and PPE requirements.

**Fire Extinguisher Field Service**:

- Inspect and service FE in the field
- Deliver serviced FE to customers

**Learn and operate within**:

- RFS policies, procedures and service practices
- Current Fire & Life Safety Standards, Electrical Standards and applicable
- Building Codes Health & Safety Standards and policies

**Qulifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training an asset).
- Previous experience in fire protection or safety services preferred but not required (training provided).
- Knowledge of NFPA 10 standards and local fire codes considered an asset.
- Mechanically inclined with ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
