Calgary, Canada Building Bridges Counselling Full time

Building Bridges Counselling is looking for a Registered Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist, Certified Counsellor and/or Registered Social Worker to join our team as a contractor. Employment Type: Contract We are an independent counselling services firm with eight staff members, including a registered social worker, registered psychologists, counsellors, administrators and a therapy dog. We offer a wide range of counselling services to a diverse selection of clients. We are looking for passionate, dedicated, open, honest, consistent, and compassionate counsellors to offer support to our clients. We are a "one stop shop" for mental health counselling and support. An important part of the support offered at Building Bridges is our team approach and varied sliding scale. We provide services to children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. We are looking for someone with a relatively flexible schedule who is able to work some daytimes, some evenings and some Saturdays. Caseloads are built through our Coffee and Chat program that is run by the admin team. A contractor is not required to do their own advertisement, Coffee and Chats and marketing to build their caseloads. We at Building Bridges support and build a contractors case load with their input. Attendance at a monthly, team-meeting and team-consult is required. Contractors are also required to carry their own liability insurance and hold a current license to practice. Our contractors are paid commission on a monthly basis and bi-monthy basis depending on position. Position available: - Casual counsellor:The position will start at part-time with the opportunity to develop into full-time. 20-25 hours a week to start. Experience working with one or all of the following groups is required. Groups: couples, families, youth, and individuals. This position will start at part-time with the opportunity to develop into full-time. Qualifications: - Have experience working with a variety of demographics - Have flexibility to build caseload - Are comfortable with co-counselling and consulting as a team - Have at least 2 years’ experience working in the counselling field - Willingness to work with EAP clients - Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or equivalent - Must be registered with an associated professional body (eg. CAP or CCPA) - Recent criminal record check - Must have professional liability insurance - Ensure ethical documentation and consent practices are consistently adhered to **Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract Part-time hours: 20-25 per week **Salary**: $1,000.00-$6,000.00 per month Schedule: - Day shift - Evening shift - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Ability to commute/relocate: - Calgary, AB T3B 0E4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): - Are you currently registered or provisional with a regulatory counselling organization?
