Assitant Automotive Service Manager/advisor

**Position Overview**:To support the Shop Manager in the optimization of the shop’s retail sales and profitability while delivering superior customer service.

**_1. _**_Customer Satisfaction_**
- Function: _To deliver superior customer service by:

- Promoting the integrity of the Midas name by complying with the principles set

forth in the MAP Uniform Inspection and Communication Standards, and doing

so with consistent excellence;
- Adhering to the shop’s sales process in a manner that promotes customer loyalty

and retention;
- Conveying trust to all customers;
- Ensuring the quality of workmanship on all installations and services;
- Providing thorough, non-technical, explanations to customers regarding their

vehicle’s service needs;
- Expediting prompt and efficient completion of all services as promised;
- Initiating, monitoring and ensuring prompt response to customer feedback and

resolving customer issues;
- Answering phones promptly and in a polite and positive manner following the

guidelines established;
- Treating the customer and their vehicle in a professional and respectful manner.

**_2. _**_Sales_**
- Function: _To optimize retail sales by:

- Ensuring thorough Courtesy Checks on all vehicles in accordance with the

Shop’s sales procedures and the MAP Uniform Inspection and Communication

Standards;
- Generating complete and accurate estimates.
- Minimizing customer back-outs;
- Ensuring effective communication and presentation of a customer’s vehicle

needs at the time of sale;
- Confirming the customer’s understanding of the needed repairs and services;
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and competitive industry information;
- Utilizing effective telephone management skills and techniques to ensure

retention, scheduling and pricing information;
- Supporting promotional programs;
- Maintaining a pleasant, comfortable and trusting environment within the shop;
- Conducting shop meetings to address concerns, provide information and

increase shop productivity.

**_3. Teamwork_**
- Function: _To contribute to overall shop efficiency by:

- Managing the shop in the Manager’s absence, in accordance with the shop’s

operational procedures;
- Completing any and all duties assigned by the Shop Manager;
- Actively assisting in the operations of the shop, such as unloading deliveries,

checking in stock orders, putting away inventory, taking inventory, etc.;
- Instructing and coaching employees to enhance their skills and growth;
- Assisting the manager in completion of special projects and assignments;
- Assisting Technicians with the completion of work, as needed;
- Delegating responsibilities to employees to make full use of their skills and

abilities;
- Contributing to the effectiveness of peers to promote success;
- Working in concert with other team members towards the achievement of the

shop’s goals;
- Ensuring that personal image standards and shop image standards are

maintained.

**_4. Profitability_**
- Function: _To increase shop profitability by:

- Minimizing outside purchases;
- Ensuring proper pricing of all products and services;
- Managing controllable expenses;
- Achieving or exceeding shop objectives and goals.

**_5. Safety and Environmental_**
- Function: _To maximize the safety and well-being of the shop employees and to be a

good corporate citizen in the communities within which the shop operates by:

- Aiding in the training of employees in the safe performance of their jobs and

providing required training to ensure regulatory compliance;
- Ensuring the proper handling, disposal and documentation of all hazardous

controlled materials;
- Enforcing safety rules and procedures, including the proper use of personal

protective equipment;
- Completing and maintaining all safety reports and paperwork;
- Ensuring compliance with the Midas Safety program guidelines;
- Maintaining effective housekeeping to prevent hazards;
- Ensuring customer safety by providing escorts when they enter the bay areas

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
