**Join Huronia Historical Parks as our Maintenance Foreman/Woman**
Do you want to provide direction to maintenance staff and supervise construction and maintenance work? If so, this role is for you Join the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming where you will ensure that the modern/historic buildings and grounds at Nancy Island, Huronia Historical Parks (HHP) are maintained to high standards. You will also support historic program and special event delivery by providing maintenance assistance for the development, delivery and execution of activities for visitors, partners and stakeholders.
- The mission of Huronia Historical Parks is to act as stewards of heritage, managing significant assets, and delivering on Ministry business objectives. HHP consists of visitor focused organizations with education-based programming, special events, restaurants, and managing rental spaces among many other heritage assets.
- The individual is expected to be on-site five days a week. Huronia Historical Parks sites are open seven days per week during peak season and sporadically throughout the off season. The role also requires emergency on-call, weekend, evening, and night work based on operational needs and on timing of special events.

**About the job**: In this role, you will:
- Provide direction to maintenance crew and maintenance summer students including day-to-day supervision of work assignments
- Operate associated vehicles and equipment including but not limited to tractors, trucks, ATVs, snow removal equipment and lawn mowers
- Assists the maintenance team with maintenance tasks as needed for day-to-day operations, events,
- Provide recommendations about and direction to outside contractors carrying out repairs at the attraction (s) and ensure work is performed in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Inspect all buildings, structures, equipment, washrooms on a regular basis to ensure good working order at all times
- ensure that all preventative vehicle and equipment maintenance is carried out as per schedules and safe operating practices
- act as liaison with relevant external agencies (e.g., Infrastructure Ontario, BGIS etc.) and any contracted supplier of services, resolving deficiencies and ensuring scheduled maintenance is complete (i.e. safety systems, fire systems/mechanical systems, etc.)
- act as main point of contact with licensed partners for repairs to Ministry equipment and to ensure all pre-established maintenance standards are met in accordance with license agreements
- Act as a liaison for security service contracts, maintaining records and providing orientation training to new security companies/guards.

- Ensures all security alarm systems, fire systems and key systems are functional and serviced
- support historic program and special event delivery by providing maintenance department assistance for the development, delivery and execution of activities for visitors, partners and stakeholders
