We are searching for a reliable, deadline-driven Machine Operator to join our team. The operators responsibilities include reading work orders, measuring metal pieces, using handheld tools including tape measures. You should be able to observe health and safety regulations at all times and report any issues to the plant management.

The primary job duties and responsibilities are as follows. These duties are can change during peak season and off season

Perform typical operations to produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.

Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies.

Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.

Any and all other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**

Exemplary quality control is required for the position as the material produced forms the foundation of the finished product.

Good analytical and mathematical skills to interpret drawings, templates and blueprints.

Must be able to read gauges, tape measure and other measurement tools.

Manufacturing related experience as a machine operator is a plus.

Able to lift up to 80 lbs.

Forklift certification will be considered an asset but is not required

**Work hours**

8:00am to 4:30pm during the off season switching to the afternoon shift when required

Overtime maybe scheduled to meet the demand including pre / post shift or weekend work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This is a physically demanding, job that requires you to be handling heavy steel on a regular basis and do repetitive tasks

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
