Ascent Helicopters is a dynamic helicopter charter company in Parksville, BC with a 19-year history of domestic and international operations. Ascent offers specialized services to the aerial/powerline industry and has been awarded a 10-year contract with BCEHS to provide air ambulance service to the entire province of BC. We also have a proud history in wildfire suppression, search and rescue, heli-skiing, mining/natural resource, tourism and film/television.
A clean drivers abstract is required.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Fill the fueling equipment and record on board quantities
- Conduct daily inspections on equipment
- Log daily inspections and fuel samples
- Report deficiencies
- Monitor radio frequencies for incoming helicopters that are requiring fuel
- Complete required paperwork (bill of lading, driver’s logs, vehicle inspection reports, fuel inspection reports, mobile fuel logs) accurately and legibly
- Other duties as required
**Position Requirements**:
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license is preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience driving large vehicles and trailers
- Is comfortable working around helicopters (will train on aircraft refueling operations)
- Can work independently and with a team
- Be comfortable and have experience driving on forest service roads
- Be willing to work away from home for up to two weeks at a time
- Maintain a professional demeanor in the field.
Rates will be dependent on Licenses and Experience.
