Timac Agro Canada is looking for a **Business Unit Manager** to oversee and support our newly formed Alberta Business Unit. As a Business Unit Manager, you will be responsible for building Alberta operations from the ground up. You will develop the province by hiring and mentoring Regional Sales Managers, Agronomic Technical Consultants, and a Product Manager, while sharing our passion for agriculture and farming the future with Alberta communities
**Principle Duties & Responsibilities**
- Reporting directly to the General Manager of Timac Agro Canada, you will prepare, implement, and drive the business development plan of Alberta with the objectives of maximizing on-farm presence, sales volume, customer retention, and development of partnerships with ag-retailers and/or food processors.
- Working with the HR Development Manager, you will hire 8+ Regional Sales Managers and 1+ Product Managers with the goal of hiring 50+ Agronomic Technical Consultants in Alberta.
- You will be responsible for managing the P&L and logistics in your area and identifying growth opportunities.
- You will help your team build a strong distribution channel with Ag-Retailers.
- You will work closely with Timac Agro’s Canadian and International network of stakeholders to drive innovation, best practices, and a team environment.
**Requirements**:
- 4-8 Years of direct management or supervisory experience managing multiple teams.
- An academic background in Agronomy and/or Business Administration/Commerce are considered a strong asset.
- Experience in the Agriculture industry, including a CCA designation is a strong asset.
- You are a leader who is a self-starter, motivated, and possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset.
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- You have exceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a highly autonomous role.
- You adapt and remain resilient in a rapidly changing industry.
- Knowledge of the Alberta Agriculture industry with knowledge of regional farming practices and animal production is a strong asset.
- Possessing an existing network of local growers and distributors is an asset.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence.
