The City of Medicine Hat Parks and Recreation department requires entry-level labourers to perform routine grounds, turf, landscaping, irrigation, trees, parks, and facilities maintenance. Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently enrolled in Horticulture, Turf Maintenance or Landscape and/or Construction and have proven grounds maintenance experience.

Successful applicants may be required to work evening and weekend shifts.
- Mechanical aptitude with basic understanding and operation of small equipment, hand & power tools.
- Dependable and reliable, safety minded.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and resolve routine task related issues.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently.

**Qualifications**
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Current Class 5 Driver's License with acceptable driving record (6 demerits or less)
- Be able to perform manual tasks for the majority of shift including lifting objects up to 40 lbs.
- Available to work evening and weekend shifts.
- An equivalent combination of management approved training and experience may be considered.
