Production Manager

As the leader of the Production Team, the Production Manager is in charge of closely monitoring and optimizing MDT Manufacturing - Harmonic Plant’s production process, scheduling, resource planning, logistics, quality and inventory management

A little bit more about the job:
As a servant leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing our production team to ensure the highest quality of our products are produced and delivered on time. You will use your extensive manufacturing background, combined with keen business sense to optimize the production process, including scheduling, production planning, and inventory management. Your role will be critical in maintaining the highest levels of efficiency, productivity, and quality standards throughout the production floor, while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and teamwork.

This position will report directly to the VP of Operations of the plant and you will work collaboratively with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

What you will be accountable for:

- Lead and manage our production team, including: purchasing, scheduling
- Monitor and track production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process improvements as necessary.
- Manage the production budget and deliverables, ensuring that all expenses are within expected levels.
- Actively foster and develop a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, teamwork, and servant leadership among the production team.
- Through coaching, mentorship, and development, create a highly effective team that is equipped with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to excel in their roles.
- Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, sales, logistics, and finance, to ensure that production schedules are met, customer demands are fulfilled, and financial targets are achieved.

Who you are:

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- High EQ
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong background in production management.
- Experiencing working with and managing a machinist-centric manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience leading a production team, including managing scheduling, inventory management, and production planning.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- A strong commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
