**Position Overview**: We are seeking two motivated Construction Labourers to assist with our ongoing project in Strathmore for the next two years. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to work full-time and grow within our company.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in the installation of eavestroughs, fascia and metal cladding
As a Construction Labourer at Advanced Metals, your typical day will include a variety of tasks essential to the successful completion of our eavestroughing and exterior metal projects. Key responsibilities will include:
1. **Material Handling**:
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks and transport them to the job site.
- Organize materials and tools to ensure efficient workflow.
2. **Installation Assistance**:
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople in the installation of eavestroughs and metal components.
- Assist in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications.
3. **Site Preparation**:
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe and organized working environment.
- Set up scaffolding or ladders as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
4. **Operating Tools and Equipment**:
- Use hand and power tools (under supervision) for cutting, fastening, and securing materials.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
5. **Safety Compliance**:
- Follow all safety guidelines and practices while working, especially when operating at heights.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
6. **Physical Labor**:
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials, often involving repetitive motions.
- Be prepared for strenuous work outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
7. **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding daily progress and any issues that arise.
8. **Clean-Up Duties**:
- After daily tasks are completed, assist in cleaning up the work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
- Dispose of waste materials according to company guidelines.
9. **Training and Development**:
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills and safety practices.
- Take initiative to learn from experienced team members and seek opportunities for advancement.
By taking on these daily responsibilities, you will play a vital role in the success of our projects while developing valuable skills and contributing to a dynamic team environment.
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Construction: 1 year (preferred)
