Cellar Hand

**Cellar Hand**

We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our team as a cellar hand for harvest season 3-4 month contract (mid-August - end of November) & help us maintain 30+ acres of vineyard on an 80 acre Estate just outside of Grand Bend.

**Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and sterilizing winery equipment and tanks
- Transferring, racking, blending wine/juice
- Carrying out various additions/inoculations
- Barrel operations: filling, racking, topping
- Operating various filtration equipment
- Pump-overs, punch downs, red drain and presses
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized cellar

Job Requirements:

- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Able to lift 50lbs and able to work at heights
- Willing to work shift hours and extended hours during harvest
- Outdoor maintenance experience is a plus
- Forklift training and experience is a plus

Wage $21+ /hr depending on experience. Full-time, seasonal.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or appropriate job experience.
- Experience as Cellar Hand
- Experience with groundskeeping of farming is an asset
- Valid driver's license an asset
- Proficient in using manual and power tools safely
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work cooperatively and in collaboration with others
- Available to work extended hours and overtime in a flexible work environment
- Physically fit, agile and dexterous. This is a physically demanding job, repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending/crouching and kneeling for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in Canada
- Ability to communicate and read English.
