Geotechnical Driller

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Operate drilling rigs and associated equipment to perform drilling operations efficiently.
- Conduct Geotechnical drilling techniques to reach targeted resource locations.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections on drilling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize heavy equipment such as pickers and forklifts for material handling and job preparation.
- Collaborate with team members to build and maintain safe working conditions on-site.
- Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet project goals.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, materials, and other relevant data.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in commercial driving with a valid class 1 driver's license.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with Morooka track Geotechnical drilling rigs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Class 1 Licence - Mandatory

Geotechnical (Auger Drilling) - Mandatory

Geotechnical (ODEX Drilling) - Would be an Asset

Geotechnical (Hq3 Rock Coring) - Would be an Asset

Expected hours: 40 - 84 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- oil and gas: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 1 Licence (preferred)
