**Position Summary**:
The Materials Coordinator contributes to the success of the Company by assisting the plant warehouse and procurement teams, coordinating and expediting the flow of materials and products between various warehouses, production areas and ensures material inventory levels are sufficient to meet production schedules and needs while accounting for plant warehouse space. Coordinates the flow and transacts in NAVISION co-pack products, both materials and product to the co-packer and movement of FG from the co-packer to appropriate warehouses
**A day in the life of the Materials Coordinator can look like this**:
- Develop and manage material pallet positioning in all areas of the warehouse (Dry, Cooler, Freezer)
- Conduct daily counts of materials required 4 days out to ensure production quantities are available. Escalates and communicates issues immediately and follows up to ensure resolution
- Assist Inventory control with daily material reconciliation
- Work closely with purchasing on space available for order quantities. Based on space constraints, develop, and communicate plans to send materials directly to 3rd party offsite storage locations and communicate with 3PL’s.
- Redirect product delivered to the plant warehouse facility when space is constrained to offsite 3PL locations. Obtain 3PL confirmation of RM/PACK received and enter receipts into NAV
- Manage and direct flow of materials into the plant as well as divert excess to offsite storage
- Post all transfer order PO’s off site to keep total inventory correct
- Determine volume to transfer and execute the transfer order from offsite storage to the plant following FIFO for plant requirements
- Direct the thaw/temper process for materials offsite**_, _**and instruct 3PL operators
- Assist with co packer material flow and reporting. Assure inventory in NAV for Co-Pack location is updated after each run or weekly. Co-ordinate all transfers of WIP, CHEP pallets to copacker and transact receipts in NAV. Coordinate packaging material physical inventories periodically and adjust out variances. Transact production and consumption in NAV for copacker. Post transfer of FG in NAV from Copacker to The Original Cakerie or other Dessert Holdings location
- Establish and maintain cooperative and positive relationships with all departments and customers

**What we need from you**:
- Post-Secondary education - Business degree or related. Supply Chain at college level
- Professional designation within the Supply Chain field and asset.
- Desire to continue education and SC designation
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment
- Practical knowledge of supply chain and warehouse management
- Demonstrated ability to use technology and/or systems for problem solving
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deal with complex problems and multiple levels of communication within the organization
- Able to work various shifts and extend working hours when required
- Excellent communication skills in a team environment both written and verbal
