- **Position: Principal Metallurgist / Principal Consultant**

**Role Overview**:
As a Principal Metallurgist / Principal Consultant, you will be a key member of AMC’s industry leading Geometallurgical service offering. Our Geometallurgy team integrates geoscience, geotechnical, metallurgical and environmental information to develop Predictive Geometallurgical models using data science and machine learning. These 3D models are used as an input into problem-solving, value-driven mine planning and strategic optimization of processing, mining, environmental and tailings. They minimize technical and operational risk, delivering value-driven solutions for mining projects.
You will use your core skills and operational experiences to identify, validate and curate metallurgical data sets suitable for the development of Predictive Geometallurgical models.
Beyond Geometallurgy you will use your core skills in traditional and innovative ways to contributing to due diligence, feasibility studies, and the development of, and projects in AMC’s 10x Predictive Diagnostic and Hill of Value Strategy Optimization services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Identify and communicate project metallurgical processes to non-metallurgical team members.
- Undertake data quality assessment and analysis of metallurgical test work and process plant, incorporating test work meta data.
- Identify ways to select metallurgical datasets suitable for Geometallurgical modelling.
- Undertake sample selection and design of metallurgical test work for the improvement of metallurgical knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of the machine learning based Predictive Geometallurgical® service.
- Identify opportunities and methods for implementation of bespoke Predictive Geometallurgical® models within a project.
- Undertake or contribute to simulation using software such as IES, as required.
- Collaborate with 10x Predictive Diagnostic and Hill of Value Strategy Optimization® teams to identify value drivers and deliver actionable insights.
- Contribute to mining lead due diligence and feasibility studies.
- Provide clear and concise recommendations through reports and presentations.
- Maintain an understanding of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Build and nurture professional relationships within the mining and mineral sector.
- Contribute to the delivery of successful projects, the development of AMC service offerings, and business success.
- Market AMC’s services through delivery of quality work, ongoing development of your network, targeted client contacts, contribution to the industry via professional memberships, technical paper / conference presentations and attendance.
