Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors._ **Job Summary** Release team ensures seamless collaboration between development teams working on the next release of the common firmware. The Intermediate Firmware Release Specialist is a member of the Product Development team whose primary responsibilities include implementing and maintaining automated systems for processing test results provided by QA teams of our enterprises, identifying test failures and their causes and producing test artefacts like analysis, reports and notifications, introducing methodologies for detecting problems that can delay the release or decrease its quality in timely manner and monitoring health and tracking everything happening in all enterprises during the firmware release lifecycle. **Duties & Responsibilities** Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Designing, run and review results of automated regression test systems - Defining monitoring and alerting criteria for services. (i.e. latency, response time, resource utilization, etc.) - Defining and reviewing best security practices within our automated systems - Establishing and documenting deployment/test tools and processes, automating processes to error-proof deployment where possible - Maintaining and improving production, staging, development, and testing environments - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing and automation **Required or strongly preferred skills and abilities** - Strong technical communication and writing skills. - Team player with strong interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in Python, with experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks, engineering pipelines, and scripts. - Professional experience in Unix/Linux environments. - Professional experience in embedded systems and electronics - Experience in computer networking systems, including hubs, switches, routers, TCP/IP, certificate management, IP routing, firewalls, and DNS. - Ability to identify, analyze, and report software defects and issues affecting automation, and collaborate with the development team to resolve them. - Knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery and Deployment) tools such as Sonar, Jenkins (CI), Maven, Nexus, SVN, Git, and Docker. - Experience working with cloud platforms for builds and testing (Google Cloud and/or AWS preferred). - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation. - Ability to mentor and train employees. - Outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving skills. **Minimum Qualifications**: - College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - Experience with software build automation and cloud provider services. **Why work for us?** We provide fantastic opportunities to individuals passionate about business and technology.
