We are looking for enthusiastic and safety conscious individuals to join our team as Rebar Fabricators.

**Purpose**: Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer's orders. This is an entry level position, and the incumbent may operate various machines and equipment.

Primary

**Responsibilities**:

- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Harris Rebar's vision and values
- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars
- Operate a bending machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to a specified shape
- Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped
- Operate power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths
- Load and unload trailers and store material in storage bins
- Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner
- Assist other teammates in any of the above tasks
- Make deliveries and pickups using truck and trailer
- Inspect equipment and put safety at the forefront of all actions and decision making

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hold valid NL Class 3 License

Physical Demands
- Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds, some heavy lifting may be necessary
- Working conditions can be noisy/dusty/hot/cold

Special Demands
- Overtime hours may be required to accommodate operational demands (during peak seasons)
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM
- Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures
