Groundskeeper

Mill Ridge, a local golf course in Chester, NS is currently seeking a **Groundskeeper**to assistant in the maintenance operations of the golf course for the 2025 season.

**Job Summary**:
The grounds keepers, under the direction of the golf course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent, is responsible for the daily activities involved with the golf course maintenance. This position is best suited for an energetic individual that enjoys manual labour as well as working outdoors.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operating mowing equipment (walk behind mower/ride on mower/whipper snipper)
- Maintenance of all areas found on a golf course
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools, and equipment for the task
- Must be physically able to complete daily tasks
- Ensure safety of fellow employees
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Possesses a valid Class 5 License
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Understand of different methods used within landscape maintenance, preferable within a golf course environment
- Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks requiring the use of independent judgement and action
- Experience working within a golf course environment would be considered an asset
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that work is completed properly
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Working safely is a condition of employment
