The purpose of the role
At Vie en Rose, our Data and Analytics team plays a central role as a Center of Excellence, guiding and propelling our various business units through strategic data utilization. We are the guardians of industry best practices, ensuring that governance practices are followed, and that data valuation is at the heart of our daily operations. As the leader of the Data and Analytics function, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team focused on leveraging data to support strategic decision-making. You will work closely with our different business units while overseeing the evolution of our data ecosystem and ensuring compliance with governance standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team of data professionals, ensuring their growth and team cohesion.
- Collaborate with IT teams, data architects, and business units to ensure the performance and evolution of the data and business intelligence environment.
- Lead data governance initiatives to ensure a secure, accessible, and scalable data environment.
- Manage external partnerships with data and analytics solution providers.
- Oversee the creation of advanced reports, dashboards, and in-depth analyses to support business decisions.
- Drive cross-functional analytical projects with business and technical teams.
- Supervise and coordinate the BI super-users community within business units, aligning processes and avoiding information duplication.
- Periodically audit data usage in each department and propose recommendations to maximize relevance.
- Contribute to the integration of artificial intelligence into enterprise analytics projects.
- Train, guide, and support users of business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI.
- Innovate in data management and stay updated on emerging trends and technologies.
**Your profile **:
- Excellent interpersonal skills: You understand the challenges of different business units and build trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Skilled communicator: You can explain complex technical concepts in a simple manner, in both French and English (We work with external partners in both languages).
- Good understanding of modeling and ETL processes: While you are not an architect, you have a solid grasp of the architecture of a data environment.
- Curiosity and analytical mindset: You enjoy diving into data, asking the right questions, and identifying underlying issues.
- Strategic and organizational vision: You know how to prioritize projects and manage processes to ensure quality delivery within appropriate timelines.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (business intelligence, analytics, statistics, management, etc.);
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in the role, with experience in retail being a plus;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in employee management;
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite tools (Power BI, Purview, Azure DevOps, Azure ML, etc.) or their equivalents;
- Ability to manage different databases, perform extractions, and handle FTP files;
- Knowledge of data manipulation and advanced analytics languages (SQL, DAX, Python, etc.).
