Reporting to the Executive housekeeper, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for the daily laundering, folding and delivery of linens at our Holiday Inn & Suites located in Grande Prairie, AB.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines. Measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.

Assist in inventory count on a monthly basis, as requested.

Ensure a controlled and organized environment for the efficient collection/delivery of linen/terry and cleaning materials in line with property policy.

Strip bed linens, fold, deliver and stock linen and terry shelves

Count and stack clean linen/terry ensuring accurate maintenance of inventory as required by company policy.

Assist in other areas of the Housekeeping Department as requested by the Senior Supervisor on duty and achieving standards laid down in the Standards & Procedures Manual.

To be aware of correct procedures to follow when handling soiled linen/terry in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co
- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen.

Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time. Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs. Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 pounds.
