Galaxy Montessori campus in Richmond Hill offers true Montessori curriculum for children 2 to 6 years of age. Our curriculum is designed to inspire children to love learning versus passing a grade. As a Montessori educator, you play a significant role in following our curriculum providing a strong foundation that will shape our student’s future.

We are looking for a friendly person who likes working with children to join our Montessori program for Monday to Friday afternoon hours.

- Interested in working with children in Montessori settings
- Strong demonstrated organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills and command of either English or French
- Valid CPR / First Aid certificate

**Job Responsibilities Include**:
You will be supporting the teachers in providing children in their daily activities, organizing and preparing activities and materials. You are required to communicate and work as a team with the supporting staff in your classroom and provide the necessary instructions ensuring Galaxy Montessori curriculum is followed. Below are some of the typical routine responsibilities:

- Encourage and assist in positive social interactions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Taking the children through the classroom materials
- Supervising children in their daily activities, organizing and preparing art activities for the younger children as appropriate and as may be requested by the school Director
- Maintaining the prepared environment and ensuring that the classroom is regularly changed, cleaned and maintained, and that wall displays are updated.
- Ensuring the children who need to go to the bathroom are able to go
- Any other duties normally associated with a childcare provision, including preparation and serving of snacks, supervising the children and ensuring their safety in their outside play, assisting with taking the children to off-site play or other facilities
