**Job description**

A term Kindergarten & School Age Educator is required for Shoreline Early Learning Centre located in St. Jerome School in Riverside South. The program is licensed by the Ministry of Education. The program provides preschool, kindergarten and school-age care.

Our programs provide relaxed, recreational and educational programs in a child-centred environment, where children can safely learn through play. This philosophy is guided by Conscious Discipline®, an approach which encourages the educators working with the child(ren) to consciously respond to daily conflict, transforming it into an opportunity to teach critical life skills to children. The Conscious Discipline® focus begins with providing safety, both physically and emotionally, for all children; then creates an environment that aids in healthy connections among and with children in order to facilitate meaningful problem-solving.

**Qualifications**
- Experience working with kindergarten and school-age children is preferred.
- A police record check for the vulnerable sector dated within six (6) months is required upon hire.
- Standard First Aid and Infant/Child CPR dated within three (3) years is also required.
- Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is a condition of employment with the Ottawa Catholic Child Care Corporation.

The annual salary is $ 24,342 + 4% in lieu of vacation.
