**Responsible for completing inspections and tests under the direction of the Site Quality Supervisor.* Essential Duties and Responsibilities* include the following: Other duties may be assigned.**

**Write exact and accurate inspections reports daily.**
**Effectively communicate with foreman and superintendent to assure specifications and code inspections are met.**
**Understand and interpret ASME and AWS codes, specifications, and customer requirements.**
**Verify correct filler wire for materials and weld processes being used.**
**Assist with scheduling NDE and PWHT as necessary.**
**Develop and maintain accurate reports of quality control inspections.**
**Test and qualify welders in accordance with a company welder testing procedures.**
**Verify welding personnel are working within their range of qualifications.**
**Assist with scheduling the authorized inspector (AI) for required inspections and complete sign-off of weld travelers.**
**Participate in the Jobsite Safety Observations (JSO's) process and define corrective measures for problem areas**
**Comply with all Safety & Health requirements and monitors construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.* Qualifications* - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **Minimum 3 years of verifiable inspection experience as an AWS CWI/SCWI. Previous experience with performing QC inspections tasks within a formal quality program on a range of projects to include HRSG Erection Projects, Refinery-Oil & Gas projects, boiler and pressure vessel repair/alteration projects, structural steel erection. Must have previous experience with welder testing and qualification using ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1., and API 1104.Current AWS CWI certification required.* Computer Skills:*To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong background in Microsoft Office products and Bluebeam.* Other Qualifications:*Background and knowledge (and ability to become certified) in level II in MT and PT certifications, as well as NDE processes for particle and liquid penetrant.**
