Sobotec is currently looking for a Material Handler/Forklift Operator to work on Inventory/Production team. The position is full time Monday to Friday with 8-hour morning and afternoon shift (morning shift 6-14:30 and afternoon shift 14:30-22:30) with biweekly rotation of shifts. Working overtime and on Saturdays might be required. The Material Handler/Forklift operator reports to Inventory Specialist/Inventory coordinator and closely cooperates with Production.

Responsibilities and duties:

- Receiving material (performing visual inspection, matching receiving paperwork with PO, and counting material), unloading trucks and storing material into appropriate location
- Distributing material to machines as per production needs/reports
- Identify potential damages to the material
- Moving semi-finished products or finished products from machines to other locations as per instructions received from production department/Inventory specialist/Inventory Coordinator
- Track location and movement of all materials by using scanner and other supporting documents (some of possible movements of material include receiving, change of location, issuing of material)
- Performing forklift daily inspection
- General clean up and organization of warehouses
- Garbage dumping and dumping of recyclable materials
- Half-year and end-year counts of materials
- Other tasks as required

Qualifications and skills needed:

- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift experience of minimum 3 years is required
- Counterbalance experience required, certification preferred
- Combilift forklift experience preferred
- Able to handle long and heavy materials
- Experience in a production environment preferred but not necessary
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs)
- Ability to weigh and measure items
- Working knowledge of safe lifting methods
- Knowledge of using basic hand tools (hammer, measuring tape, cordless drill)

**Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
