MultiTech is currently seeking a **Buyer**. The **Buyer** is responsible for procurement of parts, processes and services at the best total cost while meeting delivery, quality and inventory goals.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for order placement, modification, and tracking of raw materials
- Performs follow up with vendors and programs to ensure that raw materials are delivered per schedule on purchase orders
- Develops and maintains vendor partnerships; strategically negotiates product cost, terms, and overall vendor support
- Responsible for the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process
- Responsible for the electronic data interchange (EDI) process; ensure that inventory is available
- Develop new suppliers and alternative sources and evaluate their capabilities to meet established specifications and quality requirements
- Collaborate with departments to develop or improve efficiencies (i.e. requisition process)
- Manage inventory and stock levels
- Develop and maintain reports that aid the efficiency of the Purchasing department and supplier performance
- Maintain the quality system of standards
- Follow and enforce all Multi-Tech rules and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**:

- Two year degree in business related field or equivalent work experience
- 2 years plus of previous Buyer experience
- APICS certification preferred or the ability to become certified
- Familiar with the electronic technology industry preferred
