St. Michael’s College is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and experienced individual with exceptional skills in planning, with full-time professional experience working with undergraduate students, and with a deep commitment to co-curricular student programming. Experience in developing and facilitating off-campus social outreach opportunities for students is a very strong asset.
Under the dotted-line supervision of the Director of Residence and Student Operations, the Programs Lead will act as one of the primary staff contacts for officially recognized student societies and student groups, offering high-level advisory support and guidance, ensuring appropriate institutional oversight of financial management and process, and, where appropriate, contributing to the mentorship and training of students in co-curricular roles.

The University of St. Michael’s College boasts a diverse and vibrant community of over 5,400 undergraduate students registered within the Faculty of Arts and Science at the world-renowned University of Toronto.
The College is home to students enrolled across a full range of the undergraduate courses and programs offered in the Faculty of Arts and Science. It also sponsors four acclaimed interdisciplinary programs (Book & Media Studies, Celtic Studies, Christianity and Culture, Medieval Studies) and numerous year one courses. These courses and programs are open to all students in the Faculty of Arts and Science and are grounded in the interdisciplinary strengths, intellectual history, and special collections and resources housed within the College.
Located in the downtown core only steps away from the Royal Ontario Museum, Queen’s Park, and the two main subway lines, St. Michael’s offers a “home away from home” to commuter and resident students alike. The College is well known for its beautiful historic grounds and peaceful campus setting. Home to a variety of residence buildings that range from historic old houses to more modern constructions, it provides a unique residence experience for over 650 undergraduate students. It also provides the atmosphere of a friendly and characterful neighbourhood to all students across a variety of spaces that include a library late-night café, a Wellness Studio, numerous green spaces, and a basketball court.
**SUMMARY OF DUTIES (as one of two Program Leads)**
**Programming and Outreach**:
- Oversee the collaborative planning, marketing, and implementation of key student-facing events initiated by the SMC Student Programming Committee.
- Work closely with leading stakeholders (in the College, at UofT, in the community) to develop and strengthen social/community outreach programming and opportunities for students.
- Engage with the Centre for Community Partnerships and other community organizations in providing volunteer and service-learning/leadership-development projects for students.
- Develop systems for continuous improvement through student feedback and data analysis with College stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to maximize outreach and intentional programming for a diverse body of students.
